The curious tale of the three minute bath

Driving down a windy road 35 miles per hour at seven thirty in the evening with flowers and balloons in the back seat shouldn't have ended with me being suspended sideways for thirty minutes while they tried to make it safe to get me out of what was left of my first car and no matter how many times i draw a bath i can't get rid of the feeling of my left hand covered in my own blood and the small slivers of glass that are still in my hands or the swollen over-sized bruises that adorn my legs and my face

And regardless of the scent of lavender and apples i cant look at my damaged body anymore

Did you ever really love me at all?

bath,  curious,  minute,  tale,  three.

Bloody bath water.

And She can't stand the way
Her body isn't paper thin
And the way her blood
Never pours enough
Into the sink.
She wants to drown
In these beautiful modern day sins.
Carve your favourite words of abuse
Into those thighs
That are barely fucking there
And stuff yourself full of this darkness
For it's the only thing
You can eat,
Without getting fat.
That's all that matters,
Isn't it?
Quit lying to yourself,
The putrid bath water
Wont make you clean.

bath,  water.

Bath time bird

I was in the garden and i began to laugh
I saw a little bird jumping in his bath.

With a shower cap on his little head
Splashing all the water in the flower bed.

Lying on his back soaking up the sun
He just loved his bath time he was having fun.

Pruning at his feathers so he was nice and clean
Very proud indeed a proper beauty queen.

Then he flew away from his little bath
I waved and said goodbye and thanked him for the laugh

bath,  bird,  time.

Blood Bath

Emptiness cloaks me,
In a veil of sorrow.
Blinding me from
Sharpened daggers cutting
Deep, painting my soul.

Fragmented into the
Little nothings that compile
Into my gestalt consciousness.
A whole greater than
The sum of my broken pieces.

Rain clouds roll in.
Bathing me in warm downpours.
Cleansing away crimson,
Reminders of days past.
Water trickles through
The cracks in my bones
Gently caressing my wounds,
Retelling warstories, whispering
"It will be okay. "

bath,  blood.

Cold Bath

Cold bath water
You added the ice cubes
To stop the swelling
Of my heart
In your honor.
Hypothermia sets in
And feels like warmth

bath,  cold.

Blood Bath

Dark skin* always out for blood
White skin* assumed to be filled with hate and guilt for not wanting their blood *drained

bath,  blood.

Karl Marx in the Bath

You, you used to read Karl Marx
Alone in the bath
Whenever you were low
Whenever you were low
You made cakes out of love
And love out of hugs
'Cause that is what you do
Yes that is what you do

And you made a paper boat
And you sailed it all across the floor
To the harbor by the door

bath,  karl,  marx.

A Bath Tub Of Contemplation

In a empty bath tub,
I washed you forever away...

The plug hanging silent,
As tears collapsed downward...

A hollow basin awash with regrets,
Cradled within a vacant space.

I dropped my jagged reflection,
Not letting it cut into me...

The only thing scaring this emptiness
Are my tears, as I walk out stronger...

bath,  contemplation,  tub.
