The Love Birds

The Love Birds

Oh where do you nest in what branch above
Whisper to me my angel, tell me my love.
Oh tell where you build your nest
To lay in sweet and gentle rest

In the meadow a lonely pine
Is where I mourn until you are mine
Mornings see my lonesome tears
Nighttime breezes my sobbing hears

My lonely heart soars in skies of blue
So long I searched and cried for you
Each day I looked in Lee and dell
Each night to the moon my sorrows tell

I know you really long for me
And all my love you can see
Loneliness ends as our love starts
We fly as lovers with one heart

Together on wings of love we fly
Until we touch the heavens in the sky
Come make your tender home with me
Forever as one we will always be

birds,  love.

The birds turn circles in the sky, completely unaware of the goings on bellow them... No knowledge that most of mankind is caught up in a ritual of repeatedlybeating our heads against a wall. The birds are totally at peace as they carry out a ritual practiced for thousands of years.

Birds Serenade

Birds chirping
Singing to this awakening day
What are they whistling to me
As the sun rises up and high
The endless possibilities
Of my creative mind
Like a singing motion
That echoes within me
Within me rest the sound
Of the birds chirping

birds,  serenade.

I'm Speaking With the Birds Again

His large and clumsy fingers fumbled
With the clasp of a leather strap.

He fed it around my neck, then
Twisted the red pendant that hung above my breast.

ВЂњIt's a bird caller. ” He said,
As a pitchy squawk startled my ears.

He dropped it into my smaller hands
And I pinched the vessel

Finger and thumb, finger and thumb,
I too released the pent up call –

Each trill received an echo that answered from the trees,
I willed a conversation that started with the spring.

birds,  speaking.

When birds tell stories

Across my body a story is scribed
It tells of a boy that lived through hell innocents dies
The reaper never lies

Follow the crows

Life moves on he grows cold
A gas mask protects
Evils in the air
So a gas mask he does wear

Follow the ravens

A latern alight
On a star void night leads to safe haven
Guides him through the trees
Where his fears whisper in the leaves

Follow the rooks

Around the castle
The nobelest of the kings men
Straight forward
Ready to die for him

Follow the magpies

And youll find the cat and the hatter wisdom in madness
Neither matters to the boy
Who thinks like the latter

Situation: Birds

How long could i fly before i fall
How much time till the clock strikes twelve
How many steps till i hit the cliff
How many more times can i save myself

I wish i was a bird with light lead wings
Because i work so hard to fly and i know
I know
If i give way for a second
Even a second
Id fall

Would it be bad too?
After a drink or two the ground has never looked so soft
The concrete like bouncing rubber
Would i bounce

Another bottle pushes me off
Now i know what its like to fly

I hit
I hurt
I will not die

No matter how much i try

Red-winged black birds in a cold, cold winter

It's a cold, cold winter
And the ice won't melt

My love's frozen so solid
As this river's ever felt

Oh, the red-winged
Black birds

With their bright
Yellow stripes

Fly like an arrow
Straight and true

Right to my heart
Through and through.

birds,  black,  cold,  red,  winged,  winter.
