Poems about breaking

Hearts breaking loose

As if you could not eat otherwise
That's how a poet should write
That's what she told me

But that's not the language
I use
No no no

It is and has been
A headfirst dive into
A shallow lake

Soul and spine's at stake
It festers there anyway

But beyond that
There's the conjuring of
Limitless higher powers

Long meditations
On self mortality
Sweating through

Touching, almost
The azure wavelength canopy of sky
With slow breathing

breaking,  hearts,  loose.

Haiku В ( breaking )

Final words with her—
Plain as endless sky blue days,
. . . Empty as last kiss.

breaking,  haiku.

My heart is breaking

I am starting to
That he
Will never
Me back

The art of breaking

Faking a proper life and living a lie
Hiding what has been long dead inside
The damsels in distress find him there
And he takes it away, their dead and their rotten

And he gives them life, happiness and love
And they give him themselves and quite right so
He owns them, cherishes them and nurtures them
He strengthens them for hurricanes to come

He knows when they're ready to be on their own
To stand tall in midst of a storm
To face the tides and to still move on
And that is when he lets them go

He breaks them again, even smaller so
But he doesn't let him rot inside them
He walks away with a will of stone
Knowing full well that they will be fine

They will pick up those pieces and be whole again
Now stronger than they were ever before and much more beautiful
For beauty does not lie within the eyes of the beholder
Rather it does in the ruins of a destructor

art,  breaking.

Falling out of love was easy.
All you had to do was make a call,
Break a heart,
Find someone new.
I guess that's only if you fall out at all. i guess i'm still waiting for that.
I've been waiting for a while.
Longer than it feels and shorter than I tell myself
I have a fear that i'll be waiting to fall out of love with you when i have canyons in my face from age and broken legs from climbing up this mountain.

You can't tell people that your heart isn't the only thing broken.
Bedsides from just being damaged goods, they've heard all your songs before. they're tired of it. "move on, change the station please, this melody is making me carsick. you've had your time to mourn. "
Everyone had their fair share of breaking. nobody cares.

And no one cares about poetry. no one cares that a poet cries when they think about daffodils or that they feel physical pain in their chest when they think about what wasn't meant to be but it happened anyway.
A poet writes for themselves, and how selfish is that? they consider others only when their chest stops hurting and expectations boil in their brain.

The Breaking Mask

I see you there
Saying your crying and yet
The laughter on your face says different
I longed to be with you and yet you have another

I hide my pain and it boils up
Till it is ready to flow over
I hold back the tears for they betray the mask
My perfect mask is going to snap

A crack starts spreading and spreading far
And yet you can't see this pain leaking out
My tears are flowing and flowing hard
Yet you laugh just the same

When will you see that you are to blame
My tears turn cold and flow even faster
My heart feels stabbing and yet you stay the same
I loved you from the beginning and you said you did to

You wanted me forever and yet you're a sunder
My life is crashing and you still don't care
The pain I feel
The tears I shed
Or the love I gave

breaking,  mask.

The sound of breaking

Maybe it's a turning point on this road
A calling I'm not listening to
But the calling's got your name
All over it, all over everything

This fire that got ignited
Will go off without your care
And I will look at other men
But I need you to be there...

It's a tensiOn I can't reconcile
I fear the shutdown
Drowning again the way I did
I'm trapped in between!

I need your Kiss real bad
I feel the calling in the train
It's a faceless impulse...

Maybe I'm not listening
But your song fills the air I'm breathing

breaking,  sound.

Breaking the silence with more silence.

The brush of your arm
And in my ribcage is
A purple evening with battering rain
In a dank flooded slum with open sewers
Where we're clenched under corrugated iron,
Together but so, so alone -

It's a rain prayer answered with a tsunami.

What a stupid thing is touch.

breaking,  silence.
