Food Crisis

The first world is too fat
The third world is too thin
The third would eat a rat
The first throw a feast in a bin

It takes less energy to make
In Spain than in greenhouse to bake
A tomatoe

Yet other truths exist
Don't ball your fist
But be aware of the tryst
Between gluttony and death.

crisis,  food.

Food poisoning

Take aways shouldn't be allowed to operate.
If they can't provide a safe service

Junk food

My trainer told me that for nationals I have to classify for the 63 kilos weight class.
I have to start eating really healthy so all the junk food I must pass.
All the junk food calling my name.
You know you want to eat me they proclaim.
I stare at the food wanting it like a small child wants a toy their face pressed up against the glass.

food,  junk.

Soul Food

Vivid words, paint vivid pictures,
As if a canvas for the soul,
A radiant field of golden cornflower,
Instantly creates a summers day,
Charcoal skies, of gunmetal grey,
Forms the image, foreboding, dark,
Yet with a pen, my skill is lost,
An infant child would do more good,
If a picture paints a thousand words,
Our words can paint it just as well,
Sweeping hills, and bubbling stream,
Creates an image idyllic, tranquil,
For those that write but cannot paint,
Keep strong your art, for you sooth the soul.

Food for thought

What you eat
Your plants, your meat
Become you
Become me
We are we
We are the trees
And our tears
Like our water
Descendants of our fathers
I wonder if they had foreseen
The way society now breathes
Holding their breath
Because we are told our air is toxic
When will we learn
It's the way in which we now live
We must burn

food,  thought.
