I Held A Rose

I held a rose
I loved her at night
How I admired her petals
Perfect in my sight

Drunken from her scent
I stumbled and I fell
And in my shameful descent
Fell my vase as well

But my rose just kept growing
And facing toward the sun
She even brought me light
She knew that I had none

I wanted to feed her
I love her with my soul
But my vase was still broken
My rose felt alone

As her petals got brighter
I marveled and said
"my rose is so lovely"
It rang throughout my head

I searched for a light
And thought I found a source
I wanted to share it
But my rose stayed her course

I wondered and wandered
Found a well and filled my cup
We cried when I got home
For the drink wasn't enough

My rose still grew bigger
I thought it a sign
'Til one day my rose
Was no longer mine

I adore you my flower
My heart's stricken with grief
I mourn you when I'm upright
I cry until I sleep

Sometimes I can still smell you
It hurts me all the more
I pray that you still feel me
My heart beats at your door

I'll never take you for granted
Oh, what a fool I've been
You'll see when I'm replanted
You'll long for my garden

Oh lovely, I will find you
You'll be my light again
I'll repair this vase like new
I'll fix it until then

held,  rose.

Held Too Many

By Arcassin Burnham

Feel the pain at every extent of your life,
Its nothing new to this game we play or a level of polite,
This was always war in some of our eyes and even gods too,
Bringing destruction to countries that don't even need dictating stools,
While we run around and do dumb shit for the amusement of seeing no rules,
So laws can be enforced on us but its too complicated to prove,
Thinking back and growing up with issues,
With more problems of being sat on like a church pew,
Praise his name in light for better virtues,
We're all dogs on a leash with a bowl of social media to try to get us
Through,
But thats not life and this ain't life either...

Held up,
So many,
Different,
Problems,
I can't hide anymore...
Caught up,
In the,
Wrong things,
When i,
Walk out of the door...
You could get a piece of my presence,
Looking to the sky, heaven knows i learned my lesson,
But i gotta stay in between the lines unless i wanna be saved
I know whats in store...

A soul like you couldn't grow up in a world this cruel...
A soul like you could be more precious more than beauty its self...
A soul like you couldn't be more lovelier than ever...
A soul like you could carry me to new places...

Held up,
So many,
Different,
Problems,
I can't hide anymore...
Caught up,
In the,
Wrong things,
When i,
Walk out of the door...
You could get a piece of my presence,
Looking to the sky, heaven knows i learned my lesson,
But i gotta stay in between the lines unless i wanna be saved
I know whats in store.

Held too tight

Fearless from the start of the race rodents revere, lost fiddling with a purpose never truly clear.
How can feet carry you onto the path, when a weary heart lay beaten in the past.
Where can we run when there is no where to hide, how do we defeat that which pours from the inside.
In the bitter dust of an awakened realization, that this fear does not control the direction I've taken.
Still held in place by diminished memories, trying to envision the future that may never be.
But there were not enough colors to paint the picture, when the world in stuck in only a black and white fixture.

She held all children in soft arms

No reprieve

(Twisted into grotesque form)

ۥ

The Director of the Movie is a narcissistic piece of shit

ۥ

The wizard behind the screen is a billionaire bankster moving in for the Kill

ۥ

And you just sitting there

With a Dildo between your legs you call YOUR BOYFRIEND!

ۥ

Death within every lie upon your face

ۥ

A bitch of a day but then again we know all decency is gone from this place

ۥ

It really is not a bad idea to get the hell out of here

ۥ

Not IF YOU CAN 'cause YOU MUST!

ۥ

These are VERY UGLY PEOPLE HERE

ۥ

Rebellion is only in every act of Love

ۥ

No reprieve

ۥ

It's you who is here but do you really want to stay?

ۥ

Listen up!

It's the sound of the el-train in the night

Bringing every body home

Held Captive.

For a man to know of love
And
Not be able to drink from its cup
Is like
An eagle who ruled the high skies
And
Is placed in a cage with his wings clipped.

The Song That She Held

Her heart sang a song of what she wanted her future to hold,
But her mind said “Shh, no one must hear, for you're far to young to love someone so dear.
Now keep it in, keep it quiet,
And see if the song plays out itself. If it does,
Well, then there's no worries for you already know the words to fill the empty spaces. ”

Held tight

Riding the breath of God
A spoken word

Your name is written across the wind

All your hope ultimately fulfilled
As all true hope will

Your voice carries on the sea

Love has your hand
Tight gripped, held tight.

The Things they Held

His face meets the plane of horizon
Her hand swings by her side in broad strokes
His eyelids fall with the rain
Crashing over the moon in the ocean

And stretching along like the hum of the...
Breaking apart as the fine china punishes the tiles
In loud shouts, he knows the name
And speaks only in whispers

As a willow brushes along the blades
And lays in peace among the Green
She smiles with the sun
His footsteps, the frost.

And staring into the clouds in silence
Of all the gray and black would
Laugh and grin with eyes that bind
Spellbound, as the lightning strikes

And the rain falls.

The breath
The sigh
The warmth
And the ice
Washing away in a single sweep
A time
And a kind breeze caresses her shoulders
And his hands open
With sand and snow.

She presses her back to the world
He counts the steps
She hears the word
With an echo and gasp.

He opens his eyes
She smiles through the tears
And opens her hands
And the grass and the sun and she laughs.

held,  things.
