Dream Atop a Mountain

He had the his thumb on a string,
His words chased after the sunset;

The wind carried his melody -
And had this desire,
To dance,
But i couldn't.

Fall was all around him and i,
And my dreams, atop a mountain.

atop,  dream,  mountain.

Moon mountain and oversight

Who has these before
A name became the thing,

Before your name
Came to my ears

Who had a way
With you?

Not you
Nor neither me
Not him nor her
Nor it.

Before a name fell upon
From mother sky,
Mother thigh

Who, where off this earth
Was I?

moon,  mountain.

To climb the world of crags
The rock face clad in snow
Men have given everything
To tred the icy floe

Mountain sits
To tempt and lure
A special siren song
Scaling up your scaly side
Is only for the strong

For you are a dragon
Breathing mist instead of fire
You can flick a climber
From your side
Whenever you desire

You sleep and men are happy
You wake and we are shy
You shrug your mighty shoulders
And frail mortals die

But when you are peaceful
You inspire awe
We can stop
When we're on top

And touch the face of

That daisy mountain

Why am i not familiar with the things i love?
I want to become them
But they are estranged to me
Like seagulls in a desert
I can't seem to place the canvas
I can't pick up the pen
I can't strum the strings
Or hit the keys
I can't remember the lyrics
I forget to water them
I forget to play with them
I can't find the time to get out
I don't have the right shoes for that

I'm starting to care less and less for those
When all i really want
Is to climb that daisy mountain.

daisy,  mountain.

This mountain peak

Oh, my mind is at peace, atop this moutain peak
The air so crisp and clear, it renders me weak
Looking at the horizon, and illusion captures me
A silhouette of you dancing, to the night to be

So vibrant is your sway and the lightness of your feet
Bouncing effortlessly from each star you meet
A gentle touch from your fingers lets them twirl so sweet
As they twinkle and wink, for all of us to see

Up here my thoughts are vacant, the debris is down there
My smile is wide, yet the corners drip tears
And up here I try to reach you, to comfort your fears
I guess what I'm really saying, I wish you were still here

mountain,  peak.

Cloud Mountain

There was once a lover of mine who asked me, in a moment that he held me, to describe to him what I was feeling
I told him words were slippery things, that they couldn't capture anything completely, and he challenged that
For him it is the juxtaposition of words, or rather the multitudes of images and connotations, that capture moments entirely
He prompted me again, and still thinking simply, I said I was vibrant
He paused for a moment, and smiled "cloud mountain"
And I was there too
By some magic I understood, in the kind of understanding from dreams that you can never quite translate once you have woken up
And now I think there is nothing more beautiful than sharing words
Than the incredible human ability of closeness and mutual understanding
And I will never forget this boy who took me to cloud mountain
I'm still not sure I've come back... forgive me if I stay a little longer

cloud,  mountain.

Making love to a mountain.

Left. Creek. Splash.
Above. Creek. Like a waterfall.
Shuffling on the rocks

Music stuck in my head
The crackling of fire pops in the mix of
Maroon five and
Early a. m. skies
Flicker in and out
The breath of a man
Just through making love
To a mountain

I should do this more often.

love,  making,  mountain.
