My Talent for Poetry

I know nothing of writing or the art of poetry. I just break myself in my hands and let my heart trickle through the cracks and onto the page.

poetry,  talent.

Page 168 of a book, line seven,
How to show a man true heaven,
The girl embraces with a gesture,
An indication of warm conjecture,
A loving welcome awaits him,
Yes, indeed, he's "in like Flynn! "

poetry,  prompt.

Poetry will be there

When the movies close,
Facebook crashes,
Traffic lights stay red,

When all the stores
Are out of clothes

When fathers fertilize the
Wasteland and
Mothers resort to eating

Their children for a few
More hours of life,

When it's all fucked
Beyond repair

And nothing is left

Battered, bruised but not bent
My pens crushed, but not broken
Inks meek but hasn't lost its colour
Tears fall, sorrow seeps into my paper
Fingers don't dare to write
But words are my brains nerves
And in my blood run letters
You can hold storms
But can't incarcerate my lines
Don't lose hope... poetry is life

I Hate Poetry

I hate poetry.
I think it's a waste of time.
Trying to think of ways to say things.
And then to make them rhyme!
Some poems are dark and artsy.
Some poems make you laugh.
Some poems make you think or cry.
And some poems are plain ol' crap.
Some poets wear thin mustaches.
Some poets wear fancy hats.
Some poets make up their own words.
Some gilberty hilberty crat.
But I'll tell you this my friend.
That there's nothing in the world more truer.
I'd rather pick up a pen and write.
Than pick up a shovel and move manure.

hate,  poetry.

Why We Read Poetry

Switch on words,
The synchronous vibrations reverberate,
And delight-filled notes play
Or gaze at the landscape of verses
Eyes freeze the sceney,
Splendid and sublime.
Enter the poem for pious recitation
And sermons fall into ears,
Open the pages,
The moon is full and blossoms smile.

poetry,  read.

To hello poetry poets I put my nickel down.

I'm a bit... overwhelmed
And I had no way of knowing
I put my nickel down
And the PEERS started flowing

It seemed to me... that I had
Hit the motherlode

Every heart sent and every poem read
Is worth more than gold to me
As the honesty sparkles like diamonds
With every word you've said

So if you would indulge me -my ramblings
While I WANT to stay awake this night
To answer all
Alas I've hit the wall

My brain and my eyelids are having
One heck of a fight

One thing I WILL not do
For love, money or fame
Is rush through the precious words
That you've given life to
Your babies

So in closing --my eyes closing--
Becoming one with the night
I want to say... that I have been welcomed
As a new kid(old man)
Onto this site(i love it here) onto your block

Much like when I was a youngster
And the cool looking dude said
"Hey kid You wanna play? "

And so I... put my nickel down. HELLO.

hello,  nickel,  poetry,  poets.

Tonight its a poetry...

Tonight its a poetry

A poetry aabout sleepless night

A night about a problem

A problem, which i am worried about

Worrried about our home

A home where i am living

Where i grow up...

I hope no one get killed.

poetry,  tonight.
