A Stare.

It's hard to forget something like that
It's hard to seal away that moment in time.
To look someone straight in the eyes,
And to understand.
It's profundity leaving you dumb.
Thoughts circling down the drain,
Rushing across your skin.
It's hard to not understand
That energy
To devalue it's intensity.

The man with the thousand yard Stare

He sits with a stoic's resistance,
His son in the casket lies there.
No line of a tear mars his visage-
The man with the Thousand yard stare.

He sits in the front row of mourners,
His dear sobbing wife by his side
In silence he keeps his sad vigil
And stares up at Christ crucified.

The mourners pass by him in silence,
Touch his hand or say meaningless words,
For his part he stares straight on through them
As if nothings felt, nothings heard.

The Parson commands us to silence
And struggles to lead us in prayer-
But half of the room has forgotten the words
Like the man with the thousand yard stare

Death is my race's core competence
Dealing with life, we're but fair,
But none living today keeps sorrow at bay
Not the man with the thousand yard stare.

Caught your stare

I caught your stare

It would have hurt less
If you had stabbed me in the stomach
And twisted hard
Letting warm blood seep through my clothes

At least then
I would have been warm

Because your glance
Sent chills through my body
And i sat there
Unable to move
Paralyzed by ice blue
Dizzy on forgotten love fumes

All because
I caught your stare

Stare

Haven't you heard it's not polite to stare?
Your piercing eyes puncture my skin and make me bleed my emotions.
And yet, I still don't know what
You see when my habitual glare meets yours,
But I know I cause convulsions.
Convulsions that run up and down your spine.
Because you have yet to realize until now
That you were bleeding the same dark red
Liquid from the gash that I caused.
Nevertheless, we still both convince ourselves of being unaware
To what this lingering, locking of our retinas symbolizes.
Is it love?
Is it lust?
Or is it neither?
We contemplate this question and wait patiently.
Hoping that our dauntless, hazel orbs, urge us on
Once more, to peer into their mirror images across the way.
So that they can utter the words that our tongues cannot form.
There is no longer a use for pointless chatter,
When our stare says it all.

Just stare

Just stare

Just stare at fear straight into the pupil ripple your inner kingdom, puke the system don't be a victim of what you don't know. Start scripting the pages of your life

Just stare at foolishness, humble conscience and respect your conscious. Don't be materialistic forget about vouchers.

Just stare at lies try to open your eyes to the truth and make room for your inner roots to grow.

Just stare at anxiety, tranquility is in your arteries.

Just stare at everything you're a wanderer.

Stare at me forever.

Your eyes met mine like,
Closing time.
The lights came on,
And I went home.

Life happens while you stare at nothing, right before you fall asleep

A telephone is ringing, somewhere in the night
I'm in bed sweating
Thinking about some girl i had almost forgotten
And she's as distant as the ringing phone
The phone that no-one will ever answer
Not in this night
This heat
It's all just vibrations at this point
Looking up at the ceiling, life reveals itself
Born from electric sparks
And distant sounds
Inside a blank stare, right before i fall asleep
I can only hope that the phone will keep on ringing
That i will never forget that girl
And that dying will be as peaceful as Los Angeles is tonight

asleep,  fall,  life,  stare.

Stare

Stare into the abyss of nothing
But know
You will always be something
