Starting to Rain Again

Paul sang of the winding road
That Papa said aint got no rules.
But there's a million miles out there of highway
Always begging my soul to move.

Sitting still at the speed of light
Counting seconds and I'm watching minutes.
It seems as you move down along the bank
It's all in how you spin it.

Fluid motion like a raging stream
Got a heart like a rolling stone.
That never passes on that next big bend
And just rests them bones at home.

So as the moments well they fly right by
You never see what the gardner grows.
Long before the leaves they turn to brown
And the sky begins to snow...

Don't know where I'm going,
I only know where I been.
I can't find the end of the rainbow
And it's starting to rain again.

Starting The Car With Nowhere To Go

The scariest part of
This loneliness
Is how much
I don't seem
To mind it

Starting everything again, part two

Maybe it's selfish to say I'm
Not strong without you around.
That the entire house burned down
And you make me wonder how much I want you
Or just need you for shade.
Who knows what love is anyway.
When lying alone in the ashes the
Sun stings my eyes and burns my face.

I don't know what I want from you
But it's not to take from you, it's how
When you're around there's somehow more of me.

So when I say it'll be better when you get here I mean
This ground lay fallow, but maybe we won't build a house this time...
Maybe a tree.
Maybe these ashes could nourish a seed.

Starting to Stop

It is a shape we cannot fathom.
Even if you start to wonder
Words will fade on the page.
This agile little notion is fleeting,
Like smoke tendrils in the shade.

The Starting Line

A conversation started on a "I don't know what to say" A good a place as any to start, I suppose in a way. Pacing and laughter and shaking of heads, shaking of hands but no agreement reached yet.
Decisions, decisions when will they be made? When these heads are unwilling lest the hearts be left scathed. Cause words of the heart are not easily swayed, so I start where you stop... but just what to say?

Starting Lines of a Book

And I watched her, I watched her shine, I watched her sit on the clouds. She was beautiful, gorgeous, she shined so much she could even get you blind. At that moment, I fell in love, she was all I have ever wanted in my whole life, my dream girl, my only wish.

I promised two or three months ago I would start writing again starting tomorrow...

I'm nervous...

Starting Over

Look at me-- I occupy
The world that they all left behind.
This world is now an empty one.
But there's still water. There's still sun.

The stars do not shine as bright,
But I've come to enjoy dark nights.
I can still see the ground
As I try to move around.

I'm still here. And I'm still fine.
With them gone, this world is mine.
Everything still works the same.
No need for everything to change.
