My words may be distasteful
Least they are true
My words may be distasteful
But your actions disgust me
You and your cigarette breath
Your lies
Your actions and words are one in the same

His ethereal eyes
Gazed into mine
Those spherical chasms jittered
'i won't leave' he said
As his hand stretched out for mine
My demons peeked into my mind
As the whirlpool of memories arised in my mind
Fear gnawed at my insides
Yet
I took his hand
As he pressed his forehead against mine
Our souls intertwined

Trust is the will of many,
Betrayal runs through the blood of all.
Where doth one heart lie?

Whereth it not lie at all...

Beyond the golden grains,
Of any time it bestows.

You must earn your way,
To trust your own soul...

Maybe trust is only an illusion,
Or a string of 5 letters,
That cease to exist anymore,
Beyond the confines of a dictionary,
Or the hearts of those,
Who are young and wild,
And trying to live the extremes,
Because for someone who grew,
Someone who understood,
And experienced the term life,
Naturally knew that trust was nothing,
But a word synonymous to illusion.

The thoughts are present
Of yesterday
The happiness we had
In such a way
Then night came to bring
A new day
It was then that the trust
Slipped away

It takes a lot for me to trust a person.
But not a lot for me to be loyal.
I'm always willing to hold a person's life in my hands,
But seldom will I let someone hold mine.
I'm always willing to listen to someone,
But seldom willing to talk.
I don't trust people often
And it's because I don't trust
My opinions,
My decisions,
My emotions,
Myself.

Consistant honesty,
Something I lacked
When I was a younger me.
But now I find it hard
To bite my tongue,
So eager to roll out
A frank wound or
Two.
Or blow out a cloud of,
"I don't agree. "
I have to stand up for me.
If that nonstop candor
Is really what you
Crave,
Then come back and
Let me drool out
Consistant honesty.

Cats throughout our house,
Eyes shining with love and trust;
Childlike innocence.

Folks long to kill them,
Grumbling how many there are,
Thinking themselves God.

I gaze in their eyes
When my spirit ebbs so low
And my sad heart melts.
